TuīnáTuī 推 means to push. Ná 拿 means to take hold of. Tuīná is a Chinese therapeutic massage which, similar to acupuncture, uses the meridians and their acupuncture points to influence the flow of qì. It is very valuable in musculo-skeletal conditions but may also be used in other conditions such as menstrual problems, headaches, cough, rhinitis etc. It uses gentle yet forceful techniques, and prior to tuīná treatment (similar to the process prior to acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine), a case history will be conducted to identify underlying patterns of imbalance. |
